Masks born of darkness, and of each other.
Each hood is only light, mirrored around a single axis. Where two touch, they burn a dark outline and a colour neither of them had. That is how new ones come to be.
The first seventy-one surfaced in three waves: the Founders. Their descendants carry their parents' features. The bloodlines branch, and sometimes grow back together: when two branches meet, a mask is born with two ancestors. That is why they carry the name GhostDAG, after the network where one block can have many parents.
In time, some descendants gave up colour and founded the Orders. Every meeting has its rite. Only rarely does the axis break. That is called the Schism.
1000 masks. 80 bloodlines. Numbered by lineage: each begins with its founder, or with the empty place a founder left.
Every mask belongs to one order. The Primal kept the first colours; Crossblood carry an order layered over primal colour.
How the masks of a piece meet decides its form. Two masks make a Twin, three make a Triad.
Nothing is hidden. All 1000 masks are listed on OpenSea, each one visible before you buy, so you can pick the face, the order or the whole bloodline you want. Token numbers follow the lineage: Hood #93 is token 93.
Most masks are 0.003 ETH. Founders, the Schism, the Order of Iris and the one Mirror are priced higher.
Each mask is a raymarched fractal from the Pixel on Kaspa GLSL Lab, layered two or three times with a difference blend. Around 6,800 candidates were born across eleven generations. Each generation was bred from the masks kept in the one before, and every one of the thousand was chosen by eye.
